This tea takes us to the magnificent Fujian region, in the famous Wuyi mountains, on the border between Fujian and Jiangxi. It comes from the village of Tongmu, world-renowned for its tea — the birthplace of black tea. Set at an altitude of around 1,200 metres, the acidic soil of this place, the mist and average temperatures of 11 to 18°C provide ideal conditions for concentrated tea leaves. This Jin Jun Mei comes from a precious harvest, very rich in small golden buds from the year’s first shoots, rolled into an eyebrow shape. Its aromas are indulgent and powerful. The malty, chocolatey attack extends into a heart where notes of honey and caramel play with elegant nuances of flower and fruit. A magnificent nectar to savour.
