Description
A traditional Japanese bamboo scoop, the chashaku is the ideal tool for measuring matcha precisely. Hand-carved, it lets you honour the tea ritual while bringing a touch of authenticity to your preparation.
How to use a chashaku?
– Open your pouch of matcha.
– Using the chashaku, take 1 to 2 level scoops of powder (depending on the intensity you want).
One measure equals about 1 gram of matcha.
– Pour the powder into the matcha bowl (chawan).
– Add the hot water (about 70–80 °C).
– Then whisk with the bamboo whisk (chasen) to obtain a lovely creamy foam.
