In the verdant hills of Chiang Rai, in northern Thailand, lies the Santikiri plantation — meaning “peaceful hill” in Thai. The tea bushes grow alongside osmanthus shrubs that fill the air with their scent of ripe apricots, sweet jasmine and leather. Nicknamed “the plant whose fragrance travels four leagues”, osmanthus produces flowers used in the final stage of the oxidation process. Vegetal, honeyed notes follow aromas of ripe yellow fruit and a touch of fresh mint, creating a delicately scented tea, easy to enjoy and full of promises from the East.
