From northern Laos, near the border with Burma and Thailand, in the Meung terroir, this black tea offers a beautiful aromatic palette. Its notes of honey, wood and malt are accompanied by nuances of leather, vanilla and fruit, supported by a fine, perfectly balanced astringency that brings character and length on the palate.
Teas in Laos are still largely grown from seed, by families who carry on ancestral know-how, in environments where biodiversity is very much present. The tea plants, left as small trees, develop deep roots. Combined with the richness of the terroir, these teas offer a remarkable sensory character.
